- Parametric 3D modelling of mould geometries to be C.N.C. milled;
- Engineering of hull structure geometries, optimised for interiors ease of assembly in the series production;
- Generation of 2D-drawings and technical documentation based on 3D-data;

Production & one-off boats
- Solutions according to the yard construction philosophy, based on up to date construction processes;
- Re-engineering of series power and sailing boats, in order to reduce the production costs;
- Quality oriented solution for one-offs as well as cost efficient answers for production series;

Mega yachts
- Collaboration with the yard technical office or with the design team;
- Development of tender boats in conjunction with the yard;
- Support for mast and antenna instrument construction;

Maritime certification
- Inspection and certification of recreational craft according to directives 94/25/EG;
- Consultancy regarding compliance with the formal requirements of the R.C.D.;
- Supervision of serial construction on the basis of EC type examination and P.C.A. (Post Construction Assessment);

YDE was established at the beginning of 2014 to meet the growing need of flexibility in the marine and recreational craft industry in Europe and World-wide.

The philosophy of “yacht design & engineering” is to offer “on demand” to sailing and power boat yards and to their design offices a flexible and highly qualified support for the development of their projects or part of them, both for custom design and series production.
Flexible
To achieve this, I am are more than happy to join temporarily your team in your office or in the yard, in order to completely adhere your way of working, improve the communication and to keep up with tight schedules. Otherwise you will realize how efficient can be a “home office” collaboration, assisted by well organized daily meetings and “screen sharing” to discuss any detail.

About me
Just after the engineering degree in yacht design, 2 years were spent working by “a.p.m. keels” , a small, yet much appreciated company for the quality and the precision of their manufactured C.N.C. keel systems for big yachts.

Just after the engineering degree in yacht design, 2 years were spent working by “a.p.m. keels”, a small, yet much appreciated company for the quality and the precision of their manufactured C.N.C.

After that I joined the for almost 7 years to the german yacht design office “judel/vrolijk & co.”, worldwide known for its fast racing boats and elegant projects. Here I was in charge of custom and series production boats, working closely with the “Hanse group” yard for the development of new “Hanse” and “Dehler” models, from the initial concept up to the sea trials.
At the beginning of 2015 was started a cooperation with the certification society “Swiss Lloyd”.
Last but not least, my sailing skills grew up accordingly, by sailing many races on a 45′ judel/vrolijk as mainsail trimmer most of the north-sea races with a semi-professional crew; since 2016 I am successfully sailing on a competitive 38′ judel/vrolijk , winning for many years the ORC championships on the Lake Constance.
